Style: All games will be played in Hong Kong / Cantonese style Mahjong.
Tables & Players: Each table has 4 players. Register to get your seat at a tables.
Winning Hands: Only legal hands according to Hong Kong rules will count. Hands must be worth a minimum of 3 fans (points).
Turns & Priority: Standard Hong Kong priority rules apply (Pong / Kong takes precedence over Chow, etc.).
Sportsmanship: Respect your fellow players. No cheating, no arguing about hands; the tournament organizer’s ruling is final.
Tournament Flow: Games will be timed to allow all players to rotate fairly. Scores will be recorded each game.
Sign-up & Attendance: Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled game. If you cannot attend, please notify us in advance so your spot can be given to someone on the waitlist.
Prizes: Prizes (if any) will be announced at the start of the tournament.
Learning Focus: This tournament is friendly and fun—all skill levels are welcome. It’s about learning, enjoying the game, and meeting other players.
