Mahjong is a traditional Chinese game played by four players with a set of 144 beautifully decorated tiles. It’s a fun and strategic game of skill, strategy, and a bit of luck. Players draw and discard tiles to complete winning hands. With a rich history and many exciting regional variations, mahjong offers endless enjoyment and cultural connection.

As the founder of Baldwin Park Mahjong, Christopher Chung has a deep passion for Hong Kong–style mahjong and the culture surrounding the game. He created the club to bring players of all skill levels together in a welcoming, friendly environment. Christopher enjoys sharing the strategic nuances of the game, helping players build confidence, and fostering a community where everyone can connect through mahjong.
